Agnes Mary LaValley, 74, of Route 22, Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Silver Lake, Hawkeye NY, the daughter of Marshall and Jeannette (Burrell) Bordeau, Sr.
Agnes married Richard LaValley October 14, 1961 at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. She worked at Clinton County Nursing Home for many years. In her spare time Agnes enjoyed spending time with her family at cookouts and playing card and dice games. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, feeding hummingbirds, songbirds, chasing butterflies, and walking on the beach collecting seashells. One of the hobbies that she and Richard enjoyed was classic cars. She was a member of Champlain Valley Classic Cruisers, of Plattsburgh, Tri-Lake Cruisers of Saranac Lake and North Country Cruisers of Plattsburgh. Above all Agnes had a deep faith in God and a deep devotion and love of her husband of 58 years and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Richard D. LaValley of Plattsburgh; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Amy (DeFayette) LaValley of Plattsburgh; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheree and Chad Spooner of Silver Lake, Mary and Paul Blaine of Silver Lake; and Godson John LaValley of Plattsburgh. Brother, Alfred "Fred" Bordeau of Moriah, NY, Sister, Janet and her husband Thomas Fisher of Dayton, TX; and Brothers and Sisters in-law George Moulton Sr, of Dayton, TX, Julia Fountain of Jasper, TX; Donald and Huguette LaValley of Mt. Juliet, TN, Ernest and Cathy LaValley of Plattsburgh; Grandchildren, Ashley Marie (Spooner) and Kellen Mack, Ryan James and Ashley Marie (Brown) LaValley, Heidi Nicole Spooner, Adam Joseph LaValley; several nieces and nephews; and her four legged companion "Reid".
Agnes was predeceased by her parents, her parents-in-law Amos and Marie LaValley, a sister Barbara Moulton, brother Marshall Bordeau Jr and sister-in-law Carol Bordeau
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday February 7, 2019 at 11:00 at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.
Donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church, Beekmantown Fire Department, Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country
