Obituary

MORRISONVILLE – Aimee Lynn McLane, 50, of McLane Way passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born in Plattsburgh on March 29, 1973 the daughter of Rocklyn and Christina (Gagnier) Giroux.

Aimee attended St. Peter's Elementary School, graduated from Seton Catholic School, she continued her education at Russel Sage College, Geneseo State University, and graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a Master's Degree in Special Education. Aimee was a special education teacher for the Plattsburgh City School District.

She married Matthew McLane in 1999 at St. Mary's of the Lake Church.

She was a member of the Morrisonville EMS and the Plattsburgh Association of Teachers. She loved being with her family, in her spare time she enjoyed hiking, running, working out, weight lifting and reading books in a book club with her friends. Aimee took great pride watching and supporting her children in swimming events and hockey games.

Survivors include her husband, Matthew; daughter Emily; son Shawn; her parents Rocky and Chris Giroux; siblings Rocky Jr., Keith (Maiya) Giroux, Andy (Danielle) Giroux, Kim (Jake) Swyers; mother-in-law Geraldine McLane; brothers and sisters-in-law Greg (Leslie) McLane, Jeff (Kristin) McLane, Julia McLane, Maribeth (Neil) Harrigan; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country, North Country Mission of Hope or The Foundation at CVPH in memory of Aimee.
