CHAZY – Alberdina J. Villemaire, 91, formerly of Chazy, passed away, December 27, 2021.  She was currently a resident at The Center for Nursing and Rehab at the Danforth in Hoosick Falls, NY.

She was born in Deventer, Netherlands on January 22, 1930, daughter of Theodore and Hendrika (Leerkes) te Riele.

Alberdina married Grant J. Villemaire on February 23, 1957 at St. Mary's Church in Ticonderoga, NY. Together they shared 43 years together until his passing on May 27, 2000.

She dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed traveling with her loving husband, going to visit their children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Vincent Villemaire of Jonesborough, TN, Blair (Kim) Villemaire of Plattsburgh, Michelle (Mark) Culver of Greenwich, NY, and Nicole (James) Lundy of Toana, VA; seven grandchildren, Gregory Lundy, Meghann Lundy, Wesley Culver, Caitlin Culver, Haley Culver, Kallie Villemaire and Kirsten Villemaire. She also had five very special great-grandchildren; Hudson, Magnolia, and Casten Lundy and Katie and Tia Daigle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church in Chazy.

Burial will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery.
