Alberta Mae Porter, 78, of West Chazy, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at CVPH Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on May 9, 1947 the daughter of Albert and Lena (Gonyea) Carron.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, John Porter; children, Robert (Kathy) Porter, Billy Jo (Janet) Porter, brothers Raymond Carron, Victor Carron; step-brother Randy Defayette; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grand children.

She was employed as a courier driver for a local pharmacy until her retirement.

Alberta was an avid bird watcher, among her favorites were Hummingbirds, Bluebirds and Cardinals.

She was predeceased by her parents;  Step-father, Alfred Defayette; sister, Regina Connors; brother Albert Carron; step brother Alan and her son, Michael Porter.

In honoring Alberta's wishes, there will be no public calling hours or funeral services.
