Alden J. Deyo Sr., 76, of Route 9B, passed away Oct. 19, 2018, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Altona, N.Y., on March 28, 1942, the son of Alden F. and Irene (Parsons) Deyo.
Alden owned and operated Alden J. Deyo Automotive in Coopersville for over 25 years. He worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and retired in 2004 after 25 years of service.
Alden was a devoted husband and father who loved camping, fishing and time spent with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Stella (Paul) Deyo; three daughters, Linda Deyo and Jesse Miller of West Chazy, Karen (Deyo) Pepper and husband Tom of West Chazy, and Shelly Peete of Champlain; two sisters, Sharon Miller of Beekmantown and Vanessa Deyo of Texas; four stepchildren, Joanne Sheridan and husband Brian, Bob Sears and wife Shelly, Lori Sears, and Fred Sears; grandchildren, Matthew Roberts and wife Samantha, Kristopher Roberts, Stephanie (Pepper) Rivers and husband Corey, Bailey Pepper, Aric Frisinadeyo and wife Ashley, Kali Frisina-Deyo, Zina Peete, and Josh Peete; and three great-grandchildren.
Alden was predeceased by his parents, Alden F. and Irene Deyo; his son, A. John Deyo Jr.; his first wife, Louise (Poirier) Deyo; and seven siblings, Mary, Lillian, Dwight, Kevin, Jeff, Brad and Scott.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Coopersville on Thursday.
