Obituary

MORRISONVILLE – Alfred R. Provost, 91, of Florence Jean Lane, passed away peacefully with his daughter Pamela, adopted daughter, Nancy and good friend Jeff by his side on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born in Springfield MA. on August 3, 1929 the son of Ross and Nora (Houle) Provost.

Alfred was an Army Air Corp. Veteran serving in WWII.

He married Joan Farrell in Church of Assumption in Redford.

Al retired from the Plattsburgh City School District as a groundskeeper for many years.

He was a private man that never talked much about his time in the war, until after taking the North Country Honor Flight, after that he started to decorate his log cabin with flags and novelties of the war. He also had a room filled with WWII DVDs and would love to have you sit and watch them with him. Al lived a good life right to the end. He was still driving his car, and many of the times he would have his companion Juliette with him. Al enjoyed being outside working on his bulldozer, frontend loaders, dump trucks, tractor and graders. Al loved spending time with his family, country music and a good home cooked meal.

Al's motto was "why worry about the things you have no control, just be happy to wake up in the morning and put your feet on the ground", or "it'll get better".
