MORRISONVILLE—Alice T. Simon, 89, of Rand Hill Rd., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bronx, NY on January 5, 1934 the daughter of John and Alice (Moran) Hurley.
Alice married Robert D. Simon Sr. on May 9, 1954 in Bronx, NY. She was an EKG Technician at Mid Hudson Medical Group in Fishkill, NY, and later a Medical Secretary at Bassett Medical in Cooperstown, NY.
Alice belonged to the Red Hat Society and the Church Counsel, at St. Joseph's in West Winfield, NY.
Survivors include her children, Robert D. Simon Jr. and his companion Susan DeHan, John D. and Dawn Simon, Meghan Simon and companion Richard, Alice and Dale Rexhouse, Elizabeth and Michael Bybel, Christine Spence, Nora and Frank Trudeau; grandchildren, Dale Rexhouse, Carrie Simon, Tim Simon, Melissa Surber and her companion Michael Emery, Elizabeth and Mike Pollock, David and Audrey Surber, Jennifer and Edwin Lown, Michael and Kate Bybel Jr., Steven and Nicole Bybel, Simon and Jennifer Spence, Carl and Briana Nymann, Dawn Nymann, Justin and Jenelle Nymann, Amanda and Matthew Hopper, Abigail Trudeau, Ryan Trudeau; great-grandchildren, Landon Simon, Aunna Pollock, Evan Pollock, Edwin Lown 4 th , Gregory Lown, Christopher Bybel, Luke Bybel, Emory Surber, Scarlett Spence, Lucas Perry, Lilliana Cross, Wesley Nymann, Trevor Nymann, Rylie Nymann, London Hopper, and soon to be born Ella Hopper; brother-in-law, James and Cora Simon and special cousin Barbara Fallon; nephews, Father John Hurley, J.R. Simon; nieces, Patty Ann McGovern, Laura Phillips and her wonderful caregiver, Michelle Watson.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert D. Simon, Sr., brothers Jack and Edward Hurley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00am at St. James Church in Cadyville. Burial will be at a later date.
Donations in her name may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
