Obituary

PLATTSBURGH – Anthony E. Garrow, 90, formerly of Keeseville, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.

He was born in Riverview, NY on September 6, 1930 the son of Alexander and Mabel (Bressette) Garrow. Anthony was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict, receiving the Korean Service Medal, three Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorable discharge in 1953 with a rank of PFC class AUS SIG C.

He married Sylvia Macey on June 4, 1954 at St. James Church in Cadyville.

Anthony was a machine operator at Georgia-Pacific for 33 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of St. John's Church in Keeseville, VFW Post 1505 in Keeseville and the American Legion Post 20 in Plattsburgh. In Anthony's spare time he enjoyed his home and working on his lawn projects.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Garrow of Plattsburgh; sister, Linda LaPier of Glens Falls: granddaughter, Kimberlee Kedmenec; a great-granddaughter Kaytlyn Kedmenec; great-grandson Domenyk Davis.

Anthony was predeceased by his Parents; wife Sylvia; brothers Howard, Ross, Leeward, Roland, Ralph and Ronald Garrow; sisters, Eleanor Trombley and Gloria Kennedy.

Due to Covid-19 calling hours and a Mass of Christian Burial will be private for the family. Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
