PLATTSBURGH—Barbara Caska, 85, of the Pellerin Rd. passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at her home under Hospice care.

She was born in Plattsburgh on April 21, 1938 the daughter of James and Francis (Darrah) Brown.

Barbara worked at SUNY Plattsburgh for many years before retiring. When she wasn't working or caring for her family she enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, shopping or heading to the casino for a little gambling.

Survivors include her daughter Julie; granddaughters Bethany and Lacey; great-grandchild Jasper; nieces Gloria and Beverly Brown.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 33 years Robert Caska; brother James Brown; and her companion of 16 years Norman Burl.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
