Corron

BEEKMANTOWN -Barbara Corron, 86, formerly of Beekmantown, passed away January 8, 2019, with her family by her side.
She was born in Watervliet, NY, on March 7, 1932, daughter of John and Mildred (Reynolds) Dyer.
Barbara married Roger A. Corron, Sr. on December 1, 1951, in Plattsburgh, NY. Roger passed away on July 29, 1979.
She was a woman of great faith and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy for over 50 years where she served as Trustee, Parish Council Member, and President of the Altar Rosary Society. Barbara also taught religious education for several years at the Beekmantown School of Religion.
She was also very proud of her many years of involvement with the Girl Scouts. For the past several years, Barbara resided in the Albany, NY, area where she was an active volunteer with St. Thomas the Apostle parish, Albany Memorial Hospital, and the Glenmont Grandparents Program.
Barbara also loved to travel, especially cruising, camping, and to visit her children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her five children, Roger Corron, Joseph Corron and Jill Collins, Julie Corron, Christopher and Mayumi Corron, and Elizabeth and Christian Dribusch; eight grandchildren; sister, Helen D. Richmond; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; sisters, Catherine D. McNally and Frances D. Corron; and brothers, John Dyer and George Dyer.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Burial will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Autism Society of America.
