Bertha Barcomb, 86, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at McClure-Miller Respite House in Colchester VT., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Ellenburg the daughter of Charles and Laura (Bushey) Trombley.

Bertha married Roger Barcomb on June 27, 1959 at St. Edmund’s Church in Ellenburg. She enjoyed working on her puzzles and catching up on her soap operas. She was a great cook, who cherished family meals together.

Survivors include her sons, Bradford Barcomb and Bryce Barcomb; brother Leonard Trombley; sister Beulah Whalen; grandchildren Kristy Barcomb, Kyle Barcomb, Kelsey Barcomb, Chasity Groves, Koby Barcomb, and Valentine Barcomb; great-grandchildren Lilian Patnode, Paul Webber, Sophie Barcomb, Harrison Barcomb, Charles Groves, and Lincoln Groves; and many nieces and nephews.

Bertha was predeceased by her husband Roger, son Brian, and six brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 10th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 11th at 12:00 noon at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
