PLATTSBURGH – Bertha H. Brahm, 83, of Cumberland Head Road, passed away on January 3, 2024 at her residence.

She was born in Plattsburgh and graduated from Plattsburgh High School and Empire State College (SUNY).

She married Norman L. Brahm and he predeceased her several years ago.

She was employed throughout the United States. Bertha worked as a Child Support Investigator at state and federal facilities in both Clinton County, New York and Paco County, Florida.  She was a manager and regional manager for Regis Corporation as well as an Immigrations officer with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services.

Bertha's family members include, sons, Rodney Brahm of Hudson, FL and Kevin Brahm (deceased) and his wife Julie Brahm of New Port Richey, FL.  A daughter, Norma Brahm of Coos Bay, OR.  Two beloved grandchildren, Lucas Brahm (deceased) of New Port Richey, FL and Kailani Brahm and her companion Herbie Manderson of New Port Richey, FL, along with two great-grandchildren, Asante Manderson and Kayia Manderson of New Port Richey, FL.  Her sisters, Barbara Barnes of Plattsburgh, NY and Brenda Hughes (deceased) of San Diego, CA, and two nieces, Kristine Girard of San Diego, CA and Cherrie Hughes (deceased) of San Diego, CA, and a nephew, Jerry Hughes of California.  She also leaves behind her beloved companion Roger Brothers of Plattsburgh, NY.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh.
