PLATTSBURGH— Bertha Annette Pavone, 92 passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Feb. 9, 2020.

She was born June 24,1927 in Sainte Antoine-Abbe Quebec, Canada.

She is survived by her four children & their spouses: Galen & Sharon Pavone of Denver, CO; Stephen & Annie (Simeone) Pavone of Fort Johnson, NY; Jean Pavone & Jacqueline Olivet of Catskill, NY; and Paul & Darlene Pavone of Plattsburgh, NY.

She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, who she loved and was so proud of and 15 great grandchildren who she loved to see.

She was pre-deceased, by her parents, Raymond & Maryann (Gregoire) Tetrault and her husband, Eugene Pavone.

Bertha was the oldest of 13 children. She lived in Chateaugay, NY for a short time and then, on the family farm in Peru, NY. She graduated from Peru High School, before marrying Eugene Pavone on June 13, 1948.

"Bert" dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, and raising her 4 children. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, quilting, and scrapbooking.

She spent the last 9 years as an active resident of the Samuel F. Vilas Home, where she took up painting, and creating beautiful paper mosaics for others. She was known to continue spending much time outdoors & created a beautiful garden there.

Burial will be in the spring, followed by a celebration of her life. ("See you in the Spring"!)
