PLATTSBURGH – Betty P. Gebo, 82, of William Street, passed away May 5, 2023 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh.

She was born on November 15, 1940 the daughter of Hobert and Helen (Hughey) Phair. Betty began working in the housekeeping department at the CVPH Medical Center in 1976 and retired after 31 years of service. In her later years her sweet smile and welcoming personality could be seen at Sams Club as she engaged with customers who became everyday friends.

Betty was a faithful Christian who was devoted to the Elizabeth Street Wesleyan Church and Turnpike Wesleyan Church. Dale and Betty were the directors of the Kids Clubhouse where the kids were so treasured by Betty. Betty was continuously thankful for the love of her church family and she will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate to be a part of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Gebo; brother Hobart Phair; sister Joyce Phair; nephews Brain Phair, Raymond Phair, Bobby Phair, and David Phair; cousins Debbie (George) Giroux; half-brother, Tom (Joyce) Leazott; and sister-in-law, Carol Leazotte.

Betty was predeceased by her parents; sister, Judy Phair; sister-in-law, Hilda Phair; brother-in-law, Danny Gebo; and half-brother Tim Leazott.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10 ^th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Mooers.

Donations in Betty's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
