Obituary

Bonnie Lou Lasher, born on October 24,1957 to Donald and Harriet Spooner of Keeseville NY,  passed away Saturday, February 28,2026 at CVPH surrounded by her loving family.  Bonnie graduated from AuSable Valley high school in 1976. Following high school Bonnie joined the work force meeting the love of her life. In 1980 Bonnie married Theodore Lasher of Morrisonville, NY. Together  they proudly raised three kids. Bonnie was known within the community for coaching youth sports, she coached soccer and softball. She loved camping, traveling with her husband and on rainy days she loved to put together a puzzle. What Bonnie loved most was watching her grandchildren and supporting their sporting endeavors. She would spend an evening glued to the computer watching a college lacrosse game, while following skiing competitions,  she enjoyed watching them play soccer games, participate in music and dance recitals. She was incredibly proud of her family and was their loudest cheerleader. Bonnie loved traveling with Ted, her favorite places were generally near water, she loved the beach and ocean.

Bonnie was survived by her loving husband Ted; her three children, Michelle and Ryan Forkey of Milton VT, Taressa and Ben Frazier of Virginia Beach VA, Dustin and Stephanie Lasher of Morrisonville NY; 7 Grandchildren,  Dylan Forkey of Washington DC, Logan and Mya Forkey of Milton VT, Ethan and Austin Frazier of Virginia Beach, VA, Hailey and Easton Lasher of Morrisonville NY. Bonnie was also survived by two brothers, Craig Spooner of Keeseville NY, Matthew and Stephanie Spooner of Clintonville NY; two sisters-in- law, Jan Spooner of Keeseville NY, Jody and Myron Frenyea of Morrisonville NY. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories, many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Harriet Spooner, sister Diane Spooner, brothers William and Mark Spooner, her beloved in-laws William and Donna Lasher.

At Bonnie's request there will be no calling hours, a celebration of life may be planned at a later date.

Bonnie's family would like to thank Dr. Morrison and Dr. Burnside and the nursing staff that provided quality care to her during her time at CVPH
