Brenda
Kramer
January 22, 1950 – October 17, 2021
DANNEMORA – Brenda (Drollette) Kramer, 71, of Dannemora, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2021.
She was born January 22, 1950, daughter of Hugh and Irene (Garsow) Drollette.
Brenda graduated from Dannemora High School in 1968. She then began her career at Plattsburgh State University working in the library and quickly transitioned to the payroll office where she spent the remainder of her career before retiring in 2005, with 37 years of service.
Brenda was described by many people as a kind and loving person. Whether you were a relative or friend, she made you feel like family. She played many roles in life including a dedicated employee, loving mother, caring sister and aunt, devoted daughter, but her favorite role was that of a grandma. Her favorite times were spent with family: shopping with her sisters or daughter, visits with her brother, telling stories of her grandchildren over coffee, and special trips with her family. She also enjoyed reading, movie and game nights, baking everyone's favorite treats, taking care of her home inside and out, all while spoiling her grandchildren with their favorite things.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Melissa, and "son" Michael Caraballo; grandchildren, Braydon Michael Caraballo, and Olivia Grace Caraballo; siblings, Hugh C. and Eva Drollette, Georgette and Richard Couture, Linda Drollette, Jackie Ryan, Shirley Drollette, Bernadette and Gary Hart, Andrea and Scott Bosworth as well as several nieces and nephews.
Brenda was predeceased by her brothers, Walter Drollette and Scott Drollette; sisters, Barbara Bracken and Genevieve "Jenny" Dumas; brothers-in-law, Patrick Ryan, and Richard Dumas; nephew, Scott Bracken; niece, Tonya Couture; and a relative by heart, Laura Whipple.
As you can see, her family was big, but her heart was even bigger.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21 st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
