WILLSBORO – Brian S. Pytlak, 73, of Cayuga Place and formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away, October 2, 2023.

He was born on August 29, 1950, son of Stephen and Ruth (Atwood) Pytlak.

Brian married the former Lucinda Bromley, just 4 months after they met, on June 17, 1972.

In 1922 Brian's grandparents started Pytlak Orchard's in Plattsburgh.  He was the third generation to operate the family apple orchard for many years.

Brian was a multi-talented and gifted man.  He was a wonderful builder and built beautiful homes for his family in Plattsburgh and Willsboro.  Brian was also very mechanical and could fix almost anything.

Brian enjoyed participating in motor sports, and also enjoyed his time on the lake boating and sailing.  Brian tried canoeing, but that it just wasn't fast enough!

He had always wanted to play the banjo, and along with the help of his dear friend, Cheryl Blanchard, learned how to play in his early 60's.  Brian played with the Library Jam Band in Willsboro, and especially enjoyed playing Cheryl.

Brian lived life to the fullest, and most recently said "I feel I have accomplished all the things I wanted in life."

Survivors include his wife, Lucinda "Cindy" Pytlak;  sons, Stephen (Alyssa) Pytlak and John (Anna) Pytlak;  sisters, Shirley Pytlak (Jim Westfall) and Nancy Rossman;  and grandchildren, Levi Pytlak, Wyatt Pytlak, and Poppy Pytlak.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Chazy.
