Obituary

PLATTSBURGH— Bryan F. Conroy, 52, of Cornelia Street, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the CVPH Medical Center following a long battle with cancer and kidney disease.

He was born in Plattsburgh on May 22, 1966 the son of Michael F. and Theresa (Collins) Conroy.

Bryan graduated from Beekmantown Central School and attended Herkimer County Community College where he made many lifelong friends.

He enjoyed reading and was an avid Stephen King fan and also enjoyed classic 60's and 70's rock-n-roll especially the music of Janice Joplin and The Grateful Dead. Bryan enjoyed traveling, but most of all he loved his family and the memories he made with them. He also spent endless hours researching genealogy and compiling the family tree on both the Conroy and Collins families.

Survivors include one brother, Daniel and Mindy Conroy of West Chazy; sisters, Colleen and Tom Giroux of Chazy, Molly and Alan Bushey of Beekmantown and Ellen and Paul Nunn of Morrisonville; niece, Hannah Roussy; nephew, Aidan Conroy; great-niece, Abigael Mangum; great-nephew, Rowan Roussy; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, James Conroy.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
