WEST CHAZY Carol Anne Chauvin 74 of Seymour Road passed away Thursday, October 5th at Meadowbrook Healthcare facility surrounded by her family.
She was born August 1st 1949 in Keene Valley the daughter of Jack and Margaret (Russell) Daggett.
Carol was employed for more than 25 years at CVPH in Plattsburgh where she was a laboratory aide/anatomic pathology diener. She also served as the union president of SEIU 721 and on the board of directors where she traveled extensively for meetings.
She was an avid gardener and shared the fruits of her labor with friends and family and made many donations to the local food bank.
Carol was very active in the community and served as a den mother for the boy scouts, organized holiday food and gift drives for those less fortunate. Carol was also a reiki master and helped many with her gift of healing.
Carol is survived by her husband James Chauvin of Seymour Road west Chazy. Her sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick (Yvonne) Caska of Altona New York. Christopher (Cheryl) Caska of Jacksonville Florida and Keith (Katie) Caska of Peru New York. Along with 8 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her siblings. John (Sharon)Daggett of Florida, Margaret (Mark) Chiappalone of Cadyville, Brian Daggett of Keeseville and Michael (Joanne) Daggett Keeseville. She is predeceased by her parents.
A Burial service will be held November 4th at 10am in Mountain View Cemetery Upper Jay New York. Directly following will be a celebration of life gathering at the American legion in west Plattsburgh.
