Catherine I. Ewing, 87, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026. She was born on July 20, 1939, the daughter of Frederick A. and Bertha E. (La Shure) Culley.

Catherine graduated from Plattsburgh State University. She lived most of her life in Colorado Springs where she was a physical education teacher; a profession/career that she loved. Catherine cherished her dogs and was known for her love for long visits with her extended family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Eric Ewing and his family; her sister, Helen Uriwal; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Frederick L. Culley and James A. Culley.

A heartfelt thank you to Nikki Knight for her special care for Catherine.

A graveside service with committal prayers will be held at 10:00am on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh with Pastor Timothy Luoma.
