Plattsburgh – Charlotte E. Avery, 96 of Plattsburgh, NY passed away Friday, October 27 at CVPH. Charlotte was born on November 5, 1926 in Fort Edward, NY.

She lived the majority of her life in Plattsburgh and raised 6 children.

Charlotte was a talented seamstress and was employed for many years at Asadourian's Tailoring and Phil's Dry Cleaning in Plattsburgh. She was also the owner and operator of Avery's Tailoring, also in Plattsburgh.

She is survived by four daughters and one son: Terri Madan of Plattsburgh, Shari Shovan of Washington State, Mary (George) Rock of Morrisonville, Joyce (James) St. Germain of Plattsburgh and John (Donna) Avery of Balston Spa, NY, and a son-in-law, Alan Drake of Plattsburgh.

She had nine grandchildren – Carlos Madan, Marjorie Madan, Lisa Marshall, Michael Marshall, Chad Avery, Emily Avery, Bethany Avery, Joe Avery, and Richard Houle. She also had several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Floyd Lawrence Avery and her daughter, Cordelia Drake  both of Plattsburgh.

There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
