PLATTSBURGH- Christine R. Wassermann, 75, of Plattsburgh, passed away April 15, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Plattsburgh on November 11, 1947, daughter of Anthony and Marian (Milne) Salimando.

Christine graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1965 and went on to OLVA where she graduated in 1968 with an Associates Degree.

Chris worked for many years as manager of the Pyramid Mall in Plattsburgh, and also worked as a medical secretary in Washington, DC.

Christine loved to write poetry and had a great love for living in the North Country where she had grown up.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula and Dave Kronsperger of Rexford, MT;  sisters, Cindy Brunelle of Chazy and Lori and Joe Salimando-Porter;  grandchildren, Kaylee and Brad Stein and Andrew Warner;  great-grandson, Jackson Warner;  niece, Andrea Earley;  nephew, AJ Salimando;  and great-nephew, Landon Salimando.

Christine was predeceased by her parents;  husband, Peter Jerry;  and brother, Michael Salimando.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
