PLATTSBURGH – Clara J. Dobson, 87, of Tom Miller Road, passed away, July 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Burlington, VT on March 22, 1932, daughter of Charles and Eva (Bourgeau) Mott.

Clara married Robert Dobson in 1958 at the NCO Club in Plattsburgh. She spent her years caring for her family and was very involved with different family school organizations while her children were in school.

During her later years, one of Clara's greatest passions was to help raise every grandchild, and loved to cook for everyone.

She was one of the most selfless people and always wanted to help others. Clara was a strong, caring, loving and genuine woman.

Survivors include her special companion, Charlie; two sons, Robert Dobson and Michael Dobson; daughters, Eva LaLone and Leisa (David) Boise, all of Plattsburgh; sister, Judy (John) Letourneau of Champlain; grandchildren, Brandon LaLone, Nicole LaLone, Robbie Dobson, Kayla Boise, Joshua Boise and Michael Dobson; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; brothers, Lidney, Freddy, Rodney and Sonny; sisters, Evelyn and June; and great-grandson, Jansen LaLone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 31st at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
