WEST CHAZY --Clarence "Clary" G. Parker, 89, of West Church St., passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at CVPH Medical Center. He was born on January 13, 1933 in Plattsburgh the son of Pearlie and Anna (Murphy) Parker.
He grew up in West Chazy on the family dairy and maple farm. He lived in West Chazy for his entire life. His hobbies included woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, golf, archery, and photography. Most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family.
He was a proud and active member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy throughout his entire life. He was a member of the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department and longtime Meals on Wheels delivery man.
He retired from Agway Energy Products in 1994 after more than 30 years of service. He previously worked at Finney's, Dock and Coal, and GLF.
Clary is survived by his wife Edith, the love of his life for more than 67 years, and their 7 children: son Brad Parker and wife Colleen, and their children Hannah and Megan; daughter Lori Carpenter and husband Timothy, and their children Parker Carpenter-Kerr and wife Emily, and Jeremy; daughter Brenda Lamora and husband Michael, and their children John and Mathew and his fiancée Ashley; son David and his wife Susan, and their children Shannon Fonzone and husband James, and Sarah; son Brian Parker; daughter Julie Myers and husband Richard, and their children Olivia Duquette and husband Adam, and Kaylah; daughter Marla Chauvin and husband Jeffrey, and their children Justin, Abby and fiancé Jake, Emma Sullivan and husband Andrew, and Maggie and her wife Lizziy. Clary is survived by his seven great grandchildren: Mia, Alexis, Leighton, and Hadley Lamora, Nicolas and Eleanor Sullivan, and Josephine Fonzone. He is also survived by one sister, Anne Arnold of Plattsburgh, and three brothers; Earl, Charles "Loren" and wife Phyllis, and Allan and wife Rose, all of West Chazy, and sister-in-law Ruby Hughes of Chazy. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pearlie and Anna (Murphy) Parker, one sister, Sister Carolyn Parker, and his great grandson William.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 9 th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
Donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital in memory of Clary.
