Lavarnway
November 15, 1928 – March 5, 2022
Claude A. Lavarnway, 93, of Jersey Swamp Road, West Chazy, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Davenport, Florida. He was born November 15, 1928, the son of Samuel and Emma (Rascoe) Lavarnway.
Growing up, Claude attended the Military Turnpike School House. He went on to work for Beekmantown School District as a school bus mechanic until his retirement. Claude married the former Queenie Provost at West Chazy Church and they shared 56 wonderful years together. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida and spending time with his family and loved ones.
Claude is survived by his wife, Queenie of West Chazy; his son, Dale Lavarnway (Paula Metivier) of Cadyville; his three daughters, Cindy (Roger) Barber of Standish, Christie (Roger) Hewson of South Burlington, VT, and Lisa Lavarnway of Springboro, OH. He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren, Anthony Barber, Miranda Wick, Denver Hewson, Samuel Boonchaliew, Nicholas Boonchaliew, Lucas Boonchaliew, Dale Lavarnway Jr., as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Claude was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Emma Lavarnway.
Graveside services and burial will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00am in St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville. A reception will follow after his services, with details to be announced at the cemetery.
