PLATTSBURGH- Clayton R. Stone, 88, of West Hill Rd., passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh on September 14, 1932, the son of Charles and Lena (Duprey) Stone.

Clayton worked his farm for many years, after selling the farm he worked construction. Clayton enjoyed Bingo, bowling and trips to the casino and spending time with his family.

Survivors include, his son, Charles and Barb Stone; his five daughters, Sheila and Chris Hutti, Charlene and Louis Bombardier, Mona Forett and her companion Dwight LaFountain, Elaine and Dave Pellerin, Lynda and Tim Bosley; stepchildren, Pamala, Robert, MaryAnne and Terry; a very special aunt, Alice Duprey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Clayton was predeceased by his parents, his wife Jean and first wife Marion, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Hazel and Herbert and Eleanor, and a great-great-granddaughter, Sadie.

Calling hours will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
