WEST CHAZY- Constance L. McLaughlin, 80, of Esker Rd. West Chazy, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in West Chazy on January 6, 1942 the daughter of Carl and Corine (Meseck) Brothers, and the youngest of 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Connie graduated Valedictorian from Chazy Central Rural School in 1959 and attended college at the State University at Morrisville, NY, where she met her first husband, Robert Bushey. After graduation, Connie worked at American Cyanamid in Princeton, NJ, with her husband until he was drafted. Their daughter Kimberly was born at Fort Chaffee Army Base in Arkansas. After Robert was discharged, they moved to his hometown, Shrewsbury, MA, where she had their second child, Alan, and became the curator at the General Artemas Ward Museum in Shrewsbury, MA. After a divorce in 1974, she married Richard McLaughlin and moved to West Brookfield, MA, where she worked at the Quabbin Nursing Home as a nurse's aide. After Richard retired, they moved to West Chazy, NY in 1984 and she went to work for Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals in Rouses Point, NY, until retiring in 2001. Connie was a member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary # 1466.

Survivors include her son Alan (Cynthia) Bushey; daughter, Kimberly Duprey; sister, Annette (Don) Hudenburg; twin granddaughters, Alyssa and Kassidy Duprey; and grandchildren, Zachary, Olivia and Jasper Bushey. Stepchildren, Judith (Richard) McGrath, daughter-in-law Donna McLaughlin, William (Cheryl) McLaughlin, Colleen (David) Carelli, Thomas McLaughlin, Steven McLaughlin; and many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, husband, former husband and step-son, Richard.

Calling hours are from 4 PM - 6 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St. Plattsburgh, NY.

Services begin at noon on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at St. Joseph's Church, 56 West Church Street, West Chazy, NY.
