TENNESSEE – Cora Elizabeth "Betty" Soper, 96, formerly of Beekmantown, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.

She was born in Plattsburgh on April 26, 1925 the daughter of the late Philip and Dorothy (Darby) Morse.

Betty graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1943.

On October 8, 1944, she was united in marriage to William C. Soper of Beekmantown, by Rev. Frederick Ball, Bill passed away July 18, 2006.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Plattsburgh, Clinton County Home Bureau, New York State Food Service Association, Clinton County Senior Citizens, The Busy B's of Beekmantown and the Good Fellowship Club of Mooers.

Betty worked from 1959 to 1980 at Beekmantown Central School Cafeteria retiring from Cumberland Head School as Cook Manager.

Betty enjoyed crafts, gardening, fishing and traveling with Green Mountain Tours of Vermont.

Survivors include sons, Allyn Soper and his companion, Kathy Magyar and Darby Soper and his wife, Elizabeth "Beth"; grandsons, Todd and his wife, Christina, Daniel, Rustin and his wife, Christina and TJ; granddaughter, Tammy and her husband, Joe Figula; great-grandsons, Ricky, Zander, Landyn and Ryder; great granddaughters, Victoria "Tori", Ally and Baileigh and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private for the family in West Plattsburgh Union Cemetery.
