PLATTSBURGH- Courtland Stafford Wood, 85, of Champlain Valley Senior Community in Willsboro, went to sing in God's Choir on October 25 ^th , 2019. He is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Florence (McBride) Wood. He is survived by 5 children, Dayne Wood and Jeannette Linney-Wood of Plattsburgh; Greg and Iris Wood of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; Eric Wood and Suzie Martin of Plattsburgh; Sharene Wood of Plattsburgh; and Laurene Wood of Danbury, Connecticut. Courtland was blessed with seven grandchildren, Austin Wood; Lucas Wood; Ryan Wood; Brittany Wood; Shawn Kemp; Dayne Kemp; and Carissa Kemp. Courtland is also survived by two siblings, Ron Wood and Shirley Smith, and several great grandchildren. Courtland was well known in the community and sang at many weddings, funerals, and sporting events. He sang for the Yankees, Expos, and Mets. He also sang at the White House.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
