WEST CHAZY – Dale Jennette, 65, of Lovers Lane, passed away November 15, 2022.

He was born on November 6, 1957, son of Robert and Bernice (Jennette) Girard.

Dale married the former Karen Kelley on November 19, 1977 in Sacred Heart Church in Chazy.

He worked as the plant manager at Bayview Dairy for 13 years before becoming a General Mechanic for NYSDOC and retired from Altona Correctional Facility in 2016 after 32 years of service.

The last seven years of his life left him crippled and in pain from an injury that he finally succumbed to.  His friends will remember him for his dry sense of humor and silly antics.  He was the "life of the party" at Altona Correctional.  Although retired, he maintained many close friendships from his employment in the prison system.

Dale was a member of the Chazy Lions Club and the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, basketball and football.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Jennette;  sister, Robyn Elmore;  mother-in-law, Joyce Kelley;  sisters-in-law, Kathy Wilson and Sharon (William) LePage;  brothers-in-law, Mark Elmore and James (Jan) Kelley;  and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dale was predeceased by his parents;  father-in-law, John Kelley;  and brothers-in-law, Mike Kelley and Brent Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22 ^nd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
