Robart, Sr.
October 28, 1949 – January 25, 2025
DANNEMORA -Dale Robart, Sr., of Fairbank Ave. passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the CVPH Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Plattsburgh on October 28, 1949, the son of Edward and Hazel (Cassavaw) Robart.
He married Jeannie Jettie on July 22, 1972. Dale was a Navy Veteran serving our country from 1970 to 1974.
Dale was a Corrections Officer with the New York State Department of Corrections at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora from 1977 to 2005. He was a member of the Dannemora Volunteer Fire Department and a lifetime member of the American Legion of Post 1619. Life time member of the NRA, & a member of the Civil Air Patrol for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Robart of Dannemora; son, Dale (Shannon) Robart Jr. of Peru; daughter-in-law, Tonya Robart of Peru; brothers, Edward (Sally) Robart, Jr. and Robert (Pam) Robart; mother and father-in-law, Sylvester and Joyce Laclair; grandchildren Kelsey (Dominic), Jordon, Aaron, Bryce (Kodi), Brytyn, Marissa, & Brianna. Great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Ellie, Elena, & Emery and several nieces and nephews. Also, his best friends, Armond (Jackie) Daniels, & Cindy (Vince) Ruck.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Steven M. Robart on January 18, 2025.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
Memorial donations may be made to Dannemora Fire Department, DAV -179, & American Cancer Society.
