Derrick
Labombard
February 2, 1974 – September 6, 2023
I would like to celebrate the life of my Brother Derrick LaBombard, he was born in Plattsburgh the son of Gerald and Donna (Darrah) LaBombard His passing came way too soon, and he will be greatly missed!
My name is Jeri-Jo Reer and I am Derrick LaBombard's older sister.
First and foremost, I just want to say thank you to everyone who knew and loved my brother! My Brother Derrick was the youngest of five children. Derrick was 49 years old when he passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Plattsburgh, NY.
Derrick LaBombard was a fun-loving brother, father, son, uncle, husband, friend, and coach! As many of you know Derrick has a son, Dominick LaBombard, whom he loved deeply. He could not wait to become a father! Sharing the Love of baseball with his son was something Derrick cherished. Especially being an avid New York Yankee fan! He even got to coach and guide his son when it came to baseball! They shared a special bond with each other! When Derrick would talk about his son his face would light up, as he was very proud of Dominck! Derrick also loved Football and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Derrick was a cheddar head through and through!
Besides the Love of baseball Derrick loved fishing, hunting, music, DJing, skiing, hockey, and snowboarding. Derrick also had the opportunity to attend the training camp for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Derrick had an extensive baseball career throughout his life! No matter what sport Derrick attempted he always excelled at it!
Derrick also had a love for cooking! I will never forget his famous Chicken Alfredo. Whatever he cooked, it was always amazing! Derrick even had his own garden and enjoyed working in the garden. Derrick also enjoyed sharing his produce with friends and family.
I would like everyone to remember Derrick for his fun-loving character, being selfless, having a big heart, and being that social butterfly that loved to interact with anyone he ever met.
Lastly, we as humans have all struggled with issues one time or another throughout our lives and so did my brother. I just would like everyone to remember my brother for the fun-loving, kindhearted person he was and remember the positive and good times he all brought into all our lives!
Derrick is at peace now, I will miss you my brother, I Love you very much and you will always be in my heart forever!
