DANNEMORA -Diane Marie LaRose (Deyo) 77, of 1185 Rt. 374 Dannemora N.Y., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Meadowbrook surrounded by her loving family. Diane was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 10, 1945, the daughter of Gordon and Doris (Mitchell) Deyo.

Diane had fond memories of growing up in Dannemora, where she ultimately met the love of her life Gib. She also enjoyed spending summers at the family camp in Chazy Lake. She maintained a very close relationship with her sister Kathy and her closest friends. Diane loved her family and no matter whatever occurred, family always came first.

Diane was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She loved everyone in her life and left a lasting impact on us all as wife, mother, sister, friend and most importantly "Mimi". Diane was profoundly proud of her two children Chris and Nikki. She cherished her daughter-in-law Wanda LaRose and her son-in-law Justin Couture.

When she became a grandmother or "Mimi", as she was called, she filled this role with love and sincerity. Even when her health began to fail, she lived for every moment to spend with her loved ones.

Diane's baking skills was one of her trade marks in life. Her chocolate cookies, fudge frosting and pie crusts were second to none. Another trade mark skill of Diane was making Christmas the most special holiday possible. From trimming the tree to ribbon candy to everyone anticipating the special ornament she had chosen for each of them to open on those Christmas Eves, those memories will continue to carry on for all those blessed to take part.

Diane was always surrounded by love and family.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Gib LaRose, children Chris (Wanda) LaRose, Nikki (Justin) Couture, grandchildren; Christopher, Chelsea, Kaitlynn LaRose and Cole Couture, her sister Kathy (Pat) Buckley, sister-in-law Beverly Scholl, brother and sister-in-law Gerry (Connie) LaRose as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins, all of which she adored.

She is predeceased by infant daughter Gabrielle, her parents Gordon and Doris Deyo, in-laws Herman and Rita LaRose and brother-in-law Richard Scholl.

There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 16, 2022 at noon at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora N.Y. with the Reverend Michael Jablonski celebrating. A celebration of life will occur following the church service. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Diane LaRose may be made to St. Judes Hospital, Church masses or the American Heart Association.
