PLATTSBURGH— Donald J. Burdo, 56, of Route 3, passed away, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Plattsburgh on May 20, 1962 the son of Wilfred and Nancy (Sorrell) Burdo.

Donald was a 1981 graduate of Saranac Central School.

He worked as a mechanic for Intrapac International Corp. Donald enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, NASCAR racing and football. He was a compassionate hardworking man who would help anyone in anyway he could.

Survivors include his parents, Wilfred Burdo of Cadyville and Nancy Seymour of Plattsburgh; son, Donald J. Burdo, Jr. of Plattsburgh; granddaughter, Autumn Rose Burdo; brother, Richard Burdo of Plattsburgh; sisters, June and Robert O'Banion of Moriah, Julie and Casey O'Connor of Peru, and Sharon Burdo of Plattsburgh and her companion, Karl Mertn of Quebec; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by stepfather, Bernard R. Seymour.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January16, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
