PLATTSBURGH -----Donald R. Dubuque, 79, of Wolfe Way, passed away July 30, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Mooers Forks on May 15, 1939, the son of Melbourne and Stella (Snide) Dubuque.

Donald married the former Barbara Grabau on October 1, 1960 in Syossett, Long Island.

He served his country in the United States Navy from 1959-1963. Donald was a member of the VFW Post 8793 in Ellenburg and the American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh.

Donald loved to go to the casino and especially enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em. He and his wife spent many years RV'ing down to Florida with their beloved cats, to spend the winter months and loved going on cruises together.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Dubuque of Plattsburgh; three sons, Wayne Dubuque of West Virginia, Gary and Lori Dubuque of Plattsburgh, and Scott and Katie Dubuque of Mooers Forks; one daughter, Debbie and Michael Jarvis of Mooers Forks; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Chandler; his beloved uncle, Gerald Snide; four grandchildren, Kevin Dubuque, Logan and Matt Barrett, Taylor and Luke Ero, and Bryan Dubuque; two great-grandchildren; and five nieces and two nephews.

Donald was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Richard and Robert Dubuque; brother-in-law, Fred Chandler; and sisters-in-law, Julie Dubuque and Nancy Dubuque.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
