PLATTSBURGH – Donna M DuBray, 64, of Cogan Avenue, passed away, Tuesday June 23 rd at her home in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born in Plattsburgh on October 27, 1955, the daughter of Howard DuBray and Ethelwynne "Any" (Howe) DuBray. Donna was a long time member of the First Baptist Church.
She was employed at Ames for over 20 years and thought of her co-workers as her family, after she retired when the store closed, she looked for some way to spend her time, and she like most retired people became more busy than when she was working. She loved to give back and always made others her priority. She was a girl scout leader, Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School organizer, and held multiple positions on the church board.
She is survived by her loving husband Timothy Slutter of Plattsburgh NY; her sisters, Elizabeth DuBray of Plattsburgh and Peggy (Dan) Hand of Angier, North Carolina; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Rick Terry of Plattsburgh, April and Dennis Slutter of Champlain NY, and Karen DuBray of Plattsburgh. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Nancy and her brother Howard.
Calling hours will be Saturday, June 27th from 4 to 5 pm at the First Baptist Church, 38 Oak St. Plattsburgh, followed by a private service for family due to covid-19 restrictions.
Donations in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church or one of the other organizations she loved to help.
Arrangements are with the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
