PLATTSBURGH – Doris A. LaFave, 85, of Colby Rd., passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 11, 1936 in Dannemora, the daughter of Francis and Permelia (Phaneuf) Carter.

Doris married Donald C. LaFave, Sr., at St. Peter's Church in 1953. She raised her family and worked at Diamond International for many years.

Survivors include her children, Donald and Connie LaFave, Jr., of Peru, Russell and Danielle LaFave of Peru, Joyce and Dwight Burl of West Chazy, Linda and Archie Dapo of Beekmantown; brothers, Francis and MaryJane Carter of Beekmantown, Donald and Fran Carter of Axton, VA; sisters, Jane and Edward Brown of Cumberland Head, Genny and James Corron of Plattsburgh; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Donald LaFave, Sr. in 1989.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Holy Angel's Cemetery.
