MOOERS FORKS – Dorothy I. "Dody" Monette, 70, passed away unexpectedly Saturday May 13 ^th , at CVPH in Plattsburgh. She was born May 17 ^th 1952 in Ormstown, Qc to Eddie and Irene (Alice) Weir.

Dody touched so many lives as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Full of life, she loved to make those around her smile. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren. An unbelievably dedicated mother, her children were always her priority.

Dody worked for various Custom Brokers in the Champlain area for 30 + years. Finally, retiring in 2018 from Livingston Intl.

She had an infectious laugh that radiated to all around her. She was the "Queen" in the kitchen. And a green thumb with her flowers. A creature of habit, her impact on all was strong.

Dody was predeceased by her parents Eddie and Irene, a brother William Weir and sister Shirley Weir.

Left to cherish her memory are husband Michael R Monette, sons Cory Monette, Kent (Stephanie) Monette, and daughter Karissa Monette. Nine grandchildren Kelsey (Cody) Monette, Austin (Kortni) Monette, Brayden Monette, Calyn Monette, Bentley Monette, Scarlett Monette Senecal, Dylan Monette, Easton Monette and Oliver Monette Senecal. As well as two great-granddaughter's Kinsley and Kaden Young. Siblings Phyllis (Marc) Young, Robert Weir, Merrill Weir, Murray Weir, Donna Weir and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17 ^th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
