Edward Aloysius McDonough II
August 7, 1962 - April 10, 2025
Edward (Ed) Aloysius McDonough II, age 62 passed at his home in Plattsburgh, New York on
April 10th, 2025. Ed was born on August 7th, 1962 in Arlington, Mass. to Gail (Scannell)
McDonough and Arthur McDonough.
Ed was a multi sport athlete at school and loved to remind his family that he was the 1975 MVP
in the Arlington Little League. After high school, Ed went on to serve his country in the United
States Marine Corps at the rank of Lance Corporal. After his service, he settled in Vermont
where he had three children: Katherine, Jacqueline, and Eddie.
Ed was always cracking jokes
and laughing, and always made those around him try to laugh as often as possible. He loved to
fish, be by the lake, root for the New England Patriots and the Red Sox, and spend time with
his kids and grandchildren. Ed worked in construction, manufacturing, the moving business, and weatherization during his life and briefly owned his own moving business.
Ed was predeceased by his parents Gail and Arthur, as well as his sister Paige (McDonough)
Paulman. He is survived by his three children; Kate, and her partner Connor, Jacqueline and
her son Everett, Eddie and his wife Victoria, their daughter Maxine; sister Gail and her husband
Suresh; nieces, Skye and Natalie, and nephews, Jay and Neal.
Per Ed's wishes, there will be no services. For those who wish, contributions in Ed's name may
be made to the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund:
