PLATTSBURGH- Ethan M. Purcell, 75, of Standish Street, passed away July 13, 2021 at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Ellettsville, IN on August 23, 1945 the son of Charles and Betty (Burks) Pursell.

Ethan graduated from Stinesville High School and attended Clinton Community College.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1977.  After his military service

Ethan became a distributor for Frito-Lay in Plattsburgh for years.

He married Lenora Frederick on July 15, 1967 at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.

Survivors include his wife, Lenora Purcell of Plattsburgh; sons, Brian Purcell  (Missy Mooney) of Peru and Timothy (Stephanie) Purcell of Plattsburgh; daughter, Niki (Larry) Hughes of Raliegh, NC; brothers, Ronnie (Marsha) Pursell of Bloomington, IN, Joe (Terri) Pursell and Charles Pursell all of Spring Field, IN; sisters, Connie (Coyle) Bohall of Elettsville, IN, Lois (Thomas) Knox of Whitehall, IN and Mary Vest of Spencer, IN; sister-in-law Linda Martin; grandchildren, Skyler Purcell, Nova Purcell, Olivia Ferguson, Megan Ferguson, Cole Purcell and Sophia Purcell, Lexie and Gwen Mooney; great-grandchildren, Teddy and Ezekiel; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws Armond and Rhea Frederick, sister-in-law Juli Pursell.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.  A Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in in St. Peter's Cemetery.
