PLATTSBURGH- Frances M. DeCarlo Walker, 84, of Plattsburgh, passed away April 17, 2023. She was born in Plattsburgh on November 21, 1938, the daughter of Frank and Rita (Hansbury) DeCarlo.

Frances was a devoted homemaker and spent her life caring for her family with love, dedication, and selflessness. She was skilled at embroidery and loved to crochet. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with family. She loved to laugh and have a good time and loved playing with her sweet Shih Tzu Daisy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl W. Walker, her sisters, Marion, Helen and Nancy, and her brother, Wendell "Buddy" DeCarlo.

Survivors include a son Carl L. (Debbie) Walker, of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Lisa (Alex) Canepa and Sheila (Darryl) Currier; grandsons Nicholas Walker, Gabriel Currier, and Allen Canepa; granddaughters Nicole (Walker) Rowe, Gina Currier, and Francesca Canepa; and five great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Frances' life at a date to be announced.

Memorial donations may be offered to the ASPCA.
