ANCHORAGE AK--- Francis B. Perry, 89, formerly of Redford NY, passed away December 5, 2018 in Anchorage, where he had been living with his brother Ronald and his family. He was born in Redford on August 26, 1929 the son of George and Marguerite (Strack) Perry.

After graduating from Sallaz Academy in Redford, he enlisted in the Air Force, and served during the Korean War. He belonged to the American Legion Post 1618 and was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Redford.

Francis was employed at Smith-Corona Company in Cortland, NY for many years. After retirement, he returned to his family home in Redford.

Survivors include his brother, Ronald and Lena Perry of Anchorage; his sister, Mary Ellen Lawton of Plattsburgh; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Perry of Fountain Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

Francis was predeceased by his parents, brothers Robert and Paul Perry, sisters Eileen Venne, Gen Kohler, Theresa Perry, Marie Weir, Georgianna Sager, and their spouses.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday December 18that the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Burial will be at a later date in the spring in the parish cemetery.
