Frederick Bruce
Wilson
Sep 20, 1937 — Oct 15, 2026
North Richland Hills, TX
Frederick Bruce Wilson, known to family and friends as Fred, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, in North Richland Hills, Texas, at the age of 89.
Born on September 20, 1937, in Lake Placid, New York, Fred was the son of Henry and Esther Wilson of Cadyville, New York. From an early age, he developed the values that would define his life: hard work, honesty, fairness, loyalty, and a deep love for family.
Fred proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran. After his military service, he built a remarkable career at Preload, dedicating about fifty years of service to the company. He was respected for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to doing every job the right way.
Away from work, Fred embraced life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors. Most of all, he treasured gathering with family and friends. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, generosity, faithfulness, quick wit, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Like his father, Fred loved telling stories. Whether sharing memories, offering wisdom, or simply making people laugh, he had a gift for connecting with others and making them feel at home. His stories, laughter, and friendship enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all else, Fred was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. His legacy is reflected in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness and generosity.
Fred is survived by his wife, Kathryn Wilson; son, James Wilson; and his brothers, Hank Wilson and Larry Wilson; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Wilson; his parents, Henry and Esther Wilson; and his brothers, Jeff Wilson, Charles Wilson, and Lance Wilson.
Though he will be greatly missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Graveside Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Redford Hillside Cemetery Redford, New York. Followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM at Saranac American Legion Post 1618, 275 Wilson Road, Redford, NY 12981.
Closing Tribute: "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved one’s shine down to let us know they are happy. Though we cannot see him, we will always carry Fred's love, laughter, and stories in our hearts."
Semper Fidelis. Always Faithful. Forever Loved.
