CANTON – On January 10, 2021, Garnett Covey passed away peacefully at United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care, Canton, New York. She was born on March 7, 1944 and was the youngest of five children born to Howard and Edith (Arksey) Baker of Ellenburg Depot, New York. Garnett married the love of her life, William "Bill" Covey, in 1961 and was a stay-at-home mom to their four children.  Garnett dedicated her life to caring for her family and cherished the many memories they shared together.  She will be remembered for her devotion to family, love of children, joy of reading, and superb cooking and baking skills.

Garnett's family will miss her deeply, including children Robin (Bobby) Brenner, Bonnie (Barry) Goldberg, Jolie (Eric) Burch, William "Bill" (Jennifer) Covey II, grandchildren Jill and Lane Brenner, Arielle (Matt) Goldberg Houlihan, Jared (Aryn) Goldberg, Mitchell Goldberg, Thomas Burch, William "Billy" Covey III and Brooke Covey, great grandchildren Rylie and Hallie Houlihan, and Silas and Simeon Goldberg.

Garnett was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Covey and siblings Ermatrecia "Trix" Lloyd, Lyndon"Buzz" Baker (Phyllis), Douglas Baker, and Sherry Drown.  She is survived by sister-in-law Gwendolyn Baker and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
