DANNEMORA - Gary L. Sovay, 64, of Meadowview Drive, passed away on September 5, 2020.

He was born in Schenectady, NY on January 9, 1956 the son of Lawrence and Beatrice (Gardner) Sovay.

Gary grew up in Fort Covington and later worked at Madden's in Saranac Lake.  He then went to work at Schluter Systems in Plattsburgh.

He had great knowledge and a love of "Rock and Roll" and could answer almost any question about it.  Gary was also a great mechanic and enjoyed working on all kinds of engines.

Most of all, Gary will be remembered for his "quick wit" and his ability to make anyone smile.  He will be missed by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Debra "Debbie" Sovay who he married in Fort Covington in 1983; daughters, Kari Lauzon, Kelli Rodriguez, Molly Sovay, Katharine Simon, Chelsea Sovay and Lacie Sovay; sister, Linda Daunais; grandchildren, Austin, Mercedes, Andrew, Gabriel, Lagee, Hezekih and Deborah; and nieces Jennifer and Melissa.

A Celebration of Gary's Life will be held at a later date.
