PLATTSBURGH – Gerald "Tonny" R. Snide, 87, of Hill Crest Avenue, passed away December 16, 2022.

He was born in Mooers Forks on November 10, 1935, son of Joseph and Cora (Forette) Snide.

Tonny married the former Frances Rouleau in St. Joseph's church in Treadwells Mills.  Frances predeceased him on July 8, 2011.

Tonny retired from the CVPH Medical Center after 35 years, working as a mechanic.

He enjoyed going golfing, hunting, fishing, and especially his trips to the casino.  Tonny also enjoyed spending time with the family camping and most recently helping his nieces and nephews with sugaring.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Theresa Snide;  and several nieces and nephews.

Tonny was predeceased by his wife and three siblings, Irene Frenette, Stella Dubuque, and Joseph Snide, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 27 ^th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.

Burial will take place in the spring in St. Peter's Cemetery.
