Geraldine Ann Rasco, 89, of Palmer Street in Plattsburgh, New York passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at CVPH Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Silver Lake, New York on January 4, 1935, the daughter of Chester and Marie (LaRose) Duprey. Geraldine married Mark Rasco on September 10, 1955 at St. Matthews Church in Black Brook, NY.
Survivors include her sons, Matthew Rasco and his companion Colleen Joy of Grand Isle, VT., Scott and Joannne Rasco of Asheville, NC., Andrea and Arlen Rasco of Londonderry, NH., Theresa Allen and her companion Bill Agoney of Peru, NY., Mary Rasco of Claremont, NH. and Brother and sister-in-law, Winston and Beverly Duprey. She was predeceased by her sister, Eola Duprey. Also, predeceased by her husband, Mark Rasco on June 27, 2024 and daughter-in-law Sharlene Rasco. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Geraldine was very active at Saint Peter's Church with the Eucharistic, Hospital, and Music ministries. She was involved in the marriage encounter enrichment program through church. She had a deep faith and love for God. She was very involved with Home Bureau and her love for crafts kept her busy making gifts for family and friends. Her love for gardening was reflected in her beautiful flowers and plants at her home. Geraldine loved to cook and can various fruits and vegetables. She was humble and loved to serve others, and had a deep devotion to her beloved husband, family and friends.
The family will be greeting relatives and friends prior to her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 1:30 to 2:30 at Saint Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, NY. The burial will take place in the spring at the Assumption Cemetery in Redford NY, followed by a reception.
