PLATTSBURGH – Gertrude N. Garrow, 91 of Wolfe Way, passed away, August 6, 2025.

She was born in Altona on May 24, 1934, daughter of William and Marie (LeClair) Garrow.

Gertrude attended schools in Altona and Lyon Mountain, and went on to graduate from Morrisonville High School.

She worked for Nabisco Interstate Brands as a bookkeeper for 36 years until their closing and then went on to retire from Dannemora Federal Credit Union.

Gertrude enjoyed traveling, camping and trips to the casino.  She also loved to do crossword puzzles and puzzles involving numbers.

Survivors include her companion of over 60 years, Robert J. LaValley;  daughter, Terri Ann Rivers;  son, William (Linda) Lachance; granddaughter, Nichole Muson;  three great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.

Gertrude was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Barbara Coryea, Geraldine Garrow, and Shirley Goddeau.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place in St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.W. Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
