PLATTSBURGH – Gloria M. Guimond, 86, of Elm Street, passed away March 5, 2026 at the Clinton County Nursing Home.

She was born on February 1, 1940, daughter of Harry and Mary Elise (Ebare) Barnaby.

Gloria married Robert A. Guimond on July 18, 1959 in St. Alexis Church in Jericho.  Robert (Bob) predeceased her on February 21, 1994.

She worked for over 40 years at Phil's Dry Cleaning in Plattsburgh.

Gloria loved to tend to her flower gardens, spending time birdwatching, and crocheting.  She also enjoyed attending bingo with her sister.  Most of all, Gloria loved being with her family.  Whether celebrating a family event, or just having a BBQ, these were her favorite memories.

Survivors include her children, Mary Stowe (John Stowe) and Brian Guimond (DeeAnn Guimond);  grandchildren, Tiffany Stebbins (Steven LaBarge), Eryn Rabideau (Kyle Bailey), Tracey Rabideau (Cody Corcoran), Cortney Bullock (Kris Bullock), Joe Bushey (Renee Lashway), and Chantel Bushey;  great-grandchildren, Gemma, Riley, Marley, Wednesday, Desirae, Onaleigh, Kalli, Hunter, Ashtyn, Kayla, Kelsey, Kylie, and Sawyer;  great-great-grandchild, Jaxxon;  close family friend, Terry Gordon;  and many nieces and nephews.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband; son, Robert "Bobby" Guimond; former son-in-law, Joe Bushey; and siblings, Maryanne, Cecelia, Raymond, Bobby, and Dickie.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Church.  Family will begin to receive guests at the church at 10:00 a.m. Following the mass there will be a gathering for all at Mary and Johns located at 1896 Rt 22 B Morrisonville, NY.

Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery in the spring.
