CHAZY – Gloria Pfohler Young, 91, went into the Lord's Arms on March 4, 2023.

She was born at home in Sciota, on July 15, 1931.

Gloria's life was full of different jobs, from a furniture factory to a bar.

When the family relocated to New Mexico she became the manager of the Red Rooster, a family style restaurant.

Gloria met the love of her life, Robert Young in 1960 and they didn't wait long before they were married. Robert, being a military man meant moving around a little bit. But no matter where we lived it was always home.

Gloria and Robert were blessed with 5 children; Wendy Schwank, Cheryl McCarthy (Julio Castro), Eric (Patti) Young, Roberta Young and Gloria Jean (Gary) Beauharnois; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Beauharnois (Alana Parsons), Lisa (Alex) Boire, Laura (Matt) Williamson, Shawna (Kevin) Parker, Travis Willis, Keli Arter, Emma (Timothy) Murphy, Joshua Young, Robert (Julia) Staley and Mark LaPoint; sister and last surviving sibling, Carolyn (Don) Loreman; 17 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and In-laws.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, Robert;  her parents, Anthony and Emma Pfohler;  son-in-law, John Schwank;  brothers, John and Anthony Pfohler;  sister and brother-in-law, Theresa (Don) Whitaker;  and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws from the Robert's family.

Services will be private.  Gloria will be laid to rest with her husband Robert in St. Peter's Cemetery.
